Wrestling is for Girls

Wrestling is for Girls

One glance at a wrestling match, whether its on the mat in a high school gymnasium or in the ring on television, it's pretty obvious that it's a very masculine sport. Wrestling takes a lot of strength, endurance, and even body weight before an individual can come out on top. It's also a full contact sport that involves a lot of sweaty grapples and body parts bending in directions they're not meant to. This is exactly why most girls would never consider wrestling a sport they'd like to try or even suggest to their friends. This is exactly why most people will tell you that wrestling is NOT for girls.

However, there are more and more girls today taking an interest in the sport. Not only are more schools allowing girls onto their wrestling teams to compete in school tournaments with the guys, but many schools are actually opening all girl divisions. Even the professional leagues are featuring more bouts between lady wrestlers. As absurd as it may seem to some people girl wrestling is becoming a very popular and entertaining sport.
